Jewel Thomas McClamrock (Cooley), 84, of Mocksville died on May 21, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born Aug. 14, 1934 in Grayson, Va., a daughter to the late Thomas George Cooley and Arvie Lula (Vernon) Bunton. She married Oscar McClamrock in 1961. She was also preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Gary Bunton.
She worked as a hairdresser for 58 years. She attended the Mocksville Wesleyan Church.
Survivors: a daughter, Amy M. Taylor (Jeff) of Mocksville; sisters, Joan Porterfield (Charles) of Clemmons and Barbara Whitaker of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Katie and Corey; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn; and sister-in-law, Brookie Bunton of Mt. Airy.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 with Pastor Floyd McVey officiating. Private family burial was held at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
