Kathryn Elizabeth Kurtyka Reavis, 70, of Harmony, died Wednesday, May 15 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1948 in Shirley, Mass. to the late Rudulph Kurtyka and Irene Murray Kurtyka. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Asbury Reavis.

She graduated from Ayer High School and was a retired record keeper. She had worked for Ingersol-Rand, Sheffield Lumber and Pallet and Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts and going to yard sales.

Survivors: a son, Brent Reavis of Harmony; a daughter; Hilary Gadish and son-in-law Nick Gadish of Statesville; a grandson, Ryan Gadish and a granddaughter, Reagan Gadish, of Statesville; 3 brothers,  Joseph Kurtyka (Becky) of Dover, Del., Steven Kurtyka (Carol) of West Orange, N.J., and Don Kurtyka (Steve Palermo), of Odessa, Fla.; 2 sisters-in-law; Mary Howard (Bill) of Mocksville and Carolyn Beck (Willie) of Panama City, Fla.; and a brother-in-law; Joe Reavis (Debbie) of Burlington.

There will not be a formal visitation, but friends are welcome at the Reavis home from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, May 18.
