Dorothy Youmans Moody

Mrs. Dorothy Youmans Moody, 85, of Somerset Court, Mocksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 25, 1933 in Fairfield, Conn. to the late Robert and Dorcas Baker Youmans. Mrs. Moody retired from Bell Telephone Co. and retired from Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. She loved watching sports and taking care of pets.

She was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Kathleen Rossi; her first husband, Max Rossi; her second husband, Howard Samuel Sloman; and her third husband. Lewis Jackson Moody.

Survivors: 3 children, Barbara Angell (Gray) of Mocksville, Jim Sloman (Kris) of Raleigh, and Dr. Andrew Sloman of Orlando, Fla.; 5 grandchildren, Brannon Angell (Julie), Cody Angell (Janna), Jessi Angell (Jeff Mang), Kaley Sloman and Emily Sloman; 7 great-grandchildren, Lizzy, Ethan, Ali, Ellie, Sammy, Abigail and Leyton; and 3 siblings, Carolyn Jacobson, Donald Youmans and Phyllis Rice.
