Ruth Dillon Hicks, 75, died at Forsyth Medical Center Monday, Jan. 21, 2019.

A native of Kernersville, she was born Oct. 15, 1943, the daughter of the late Rolland Dillon and Annie Taylor Dillon. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Tommy and Max Dillon.

She was a graduate of Kernersville High School. She retired from AT&T/Western Electric in 1986 and then worked part-time at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehab Center for another 12 years. She was a member of Gospel Way Church.

Surviving: 2 sons, Jeff R. Hicks and Jason M. Hicks (Maria) of Mocksville; a brother, Ray Dillon (Melissa) of King; a sister, Bonnie Longworth of Mocksville; and 3 grandchildren, Christina, Jacob and Madison Hicks.

The family will have private services.
