Eva Lendora “Lynn” Anderson died on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at her residence in Mocksville.

She was born June 24, 1952, in Rowan County, daughter of the late Fred and Geneva Carson Davidson. She graduated from Davie High School in 1970, and attended Salisbury Business College. She worked in food service for Rowan County Public Schools.  On June 18, 1972, she married Ray Anderson.  This union was blessed with two daughters.  For the past 46 years, she has been an active member of Mt. Sinai AME.Zion Church, where she served as leader of class leaders, a member of the stewardess board, and the deaconess board. She loved to work with crafts, bake, and travel.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Harris.    

Survivors: her husband, Ray Anderson of the home; 2 daughters, Catina Anderson of the home, and Raya Anderson of Dayton, Ohio; a grandson, Amir Anderson of Dayton; her step-mother, Lucille Davidson; a sister, Alice Nevels; other relatives and friends.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Sinai AME Zion Church in Advance.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
