Mr. Edward Bruce Ramsey, 83, of Lakewood Village Drive, Mocksville, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Salem Terrace Assisted Living in Winston-Salem.

He was born May 26, 1935, in Bland County, Va. to the late Otho and Elizabeth Sarver Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey loved restoring cars and was a member of the Mocksville Car Club.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean Conflict.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Lee Bullins Ramsey; and 6 siblings, Bob, John, Dora Belle, Jesse, Pid and Evelyn.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Teresa Ramsey (Kelly Walsh) of Maryland and Sharon Sutterlin of Mocksville; 2 grandchildren, Hope and Travis Sutterlin; a great-grandchild, Chloe Sutterlin; a sister, Merita Love of Virginia; a brother, Chuck Ramsey of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 10, at Liberty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
