Buddy Capes Bledsoe

Buddy Capes Bledsoe of Mocksville died on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on his 81st birthday.
A native of Ashe County, he was the son of the late Boston Franklin Bledsoe and Eva Hendrix Greer Bledsoe. He retired from Baker Furniture Co. after more than 20 years.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Mayhew Bledsoe; a son, David Wayne Bledsoe; 4 brothers, Claude, J. Harold, Darrel and Jack Bledsoe; and a great-grandchild, Gabby Perdue.
Survivors: sons, Frank, Gary and Jimmy Bledsoe and wife, Brenda, all of Mocksville; 2 brothers, Teddy and Chet Bledsoe (Helen), both of Mocksville; a sister-in-law, Lucille Bledsoe of Mocksville; 8 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Davie Funeral Chapel with Bishop Mike Lane officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the time of service. Burial was in the Bledsoe Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Gary Bledsoe, Frank Bledsoe Jr., Frank Bledsoe III, Shannon Bledsoe, Jeremy Goldner, Steven Perdue, Victor Johnson and Anthony Perdue.
