Henry Lee ‘Buddy’ Plott

Mr. Henry Lee “Buddy” Plott, 74, of Country Lane, Mocksville, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017,at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

He was born Jan. 4, 1943 in Davie County to the late Wiley Franklin and Ella Mae Campbell Plott. Mr. Plott was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had been a hunter, fisherman and John Deere collector. He lived up to his name as he was overly friendly to everyone.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Louise Knott Plott.

Survivors: a daughter, Shelli Plott Bynum (Rob) of Greensboro; 2 grandsons, Ethan and Axel Bynum; 2 sisters, Barbara Clontz (J.C.) and Katherine Carter (Lawrence), all of Mocksville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 24 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
