Benjamin Michael Hedrick, 24, of Boonville died on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017.

Mr. Hedrick was born on March 9, 1993 in Forsyth County to James Hedrick and Emily Ijames Brown.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: his father, Shane Brown of Boonville; a son, Darren Hedrick of East Bend; a brother Cody Brown and girlfriend Chelsea Brackett of Statesville; a sister Kayla Brown and boyfriend Aubrey Edwards of Boonville; 2 grandfathers, Gary Hedrick of Greensboro and Dennis Ijames of Mocksvile; a grandmother, Yvonne Ijames of Mocksville; great-grandmothers, Reba Russell of Greensboro and Landa Brown of East Bend; 2 aunts, Suzonne Stratton and husband Mike of Winston Salem and Daria Joyce of High Point.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. at New Union United Methodist Church in Mocksville with the Pastor Eric Lineberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend.
