Mountain bikers are invited to ride the new trails Feb. 4-5 at the Farmington Nature Park adjacent to the community center on Farmington Road.

Thanks to the work by the Davie County middle and high school mountain bike team, and volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 505, more than two miles of trails are in, and more are coming.

Ride anytime between dawn and dusk.

Any young riders grades 6-12 who would like information on the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and would like to join a team or start a team in their school, there will be representatives on hand to answer questions.

The trails at Farmington are the only public mountain biking trails in Davie County.
