William A. Bailey

Mr. William A. Bailey, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
He was born in Forsyth County on Oct. 16, 1936 to the late William Alex and Mabel Hartman Bailey. He graduated from Shady Grove High School and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 34 years. He was a member of the Oasis Shriners and the Advance Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association in which he traveled to 48 states on motorcycle trips.
Surviving: his sister, Callie Bailey Terry; niece, Dena Elizabeth Terry; nephew, Harold David Terry Jr. (Jenny); 4 great-nieces, Kaitlin Lanier, Cara Terry, Riley Terry, and Harper Terry; 3 cousins, Taylor Fred Bailey, Jenny Rota, and Jeff Slagle; and a special friend, Ann Newsome.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at Advance United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family was to receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
