Mr. Hubert “Clay” McClamrock Sr., 64, of Mocksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born Dec. 15, 1951, in Rowan County. Mr. McClamrock was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He was employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement for 25 years. He moved back home to be closer to family and went to work for Mocksville Builders Supply and also Caudell Lumber.

Survivors: his wife of 31 years, Judy McClamrock of the home; 2 sons, Sonny McClamrock (Cheryl) of Texas and Beau McClamrock of Thomasville; 6 grandchildren; his father, Gilmer Hubert “Buddy” McClamrock; his mother, Louise Ward McClamrock, both of Mocksville; a brother, Randy McClamrock (Vicki) of Mooresville; brothers-in-law, Jon Dimick of New York and Barry Dimick (Melody) of Florida; sisters-in-law, Donna Guevremont of Massachusetts and Lisa Gilbert of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 2 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Rodney Burton and Kevin Hobson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
