Mr. Quincy Wayne Cornatzer, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

He was born in Davie County on Jan. 3, 1939 to the late Charlie Watkins and Hollie Hendrix Cornatzer. Mr. Cornatzer was a member of Advance United Methodist Church. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 33 years.

Preceding him in death was a son, Allen Wayne Cornatzer; daughter-in-law, Donna Cornatzer; and 2 brothers, Richard “Red” Cornatzer and Charles “Pete” Cornatzer.

Surviving: his wife of 59 years, Faye H. Cornatzer; grandson, Johnathan Wayne Cornatzer; granddaughter, Carly Cornatzer; Dustin Moon who was like a grandson; 2 brothers, Clinton “Jitter” Cornatzer (Bonnie) of Advance and Toby Cornatzer (Ann) of Fork.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Advance United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. The family received friends Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
