Maurice Eddie Plott

Mr. Maurice Eddie Plott, 65, of Parker Road, Mocksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born Dec. 23, 1950 in Davie County to the late Henry Clarence and Emma Arvesta Smith Plott. Mr. Plott was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Dean Plott Brown; and 2 brothers, Ronald Smith and Mickey Plott.

Survivors: a daughter, Crissy Plott Catenis (James) of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Benjamin Carter Catenis and Vivian Tess Catenis; 4 siblings, his twin sister, Marsha Tutterow (Larry), Connie Carr (Garland), all of Mocksville, Tony Smith (Diane) of Holden Beach and Randy Plott; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was to be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Harmon officiating. Inurnment was to follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family received friends Monday, Oct. 24, at Eaton Funeral Home.
