Linda Fay Lyons

Linda Fay Lyons, 55, of Winston-Salem, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice in Winston-Salem.
She was born on May 23, 1961 in Halifax. She attended Davie County Schools and received her GED from Forsyth Tech. She worked in the Davie County School System and retired from Wake Forest University where she worked as a security guard. She loved to fish and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of New Generation Praise and Worship Church in Winston-Salem.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel B. Fowler; a brother, Lincoln M. Brock; and step-father, George Brock.
Survivors: her father, Chester Tillery of Halifax; a son, Darran Lyons and fiancee Kara of Statesville; 2 daughters, Melissa Lyons and Lakeisha (Paul) Jeter Jr., all of Winston-Salem; 2 brothers, George (Debra) Brock Jr. and Terry (Delores) Tillery of Kentucky; 5 sisters, Georgia (Boger) Dalton, Rose Brock, Elizabeth Martinez, all of Mocksville, Minnie Carter of Wilkesboro, and Vonda Tillery of Greenville; 3 grandchildren, Shiyah Lyons, Damaris Lyons and Dayshaun Jeter; and a large number of other relatives and friends.
Her funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Graham Funeral Home. The Rev. Rodney Barker will officiate and burial will follow in Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
