Although Davie’s tennis team was playing its first match in eight days, coach John Bullins’ team kept feasting. The War Eagles brushed aside Mt. Tabor 7-2 on Sept. 7 to remain undefeated.

While the host Spartans fell to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in the Central Piedmont Conference, Davie improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the league.

Laura Becker (6-0, 6-0), Sierra Foster (6-1, 6-0), Jennifer Ngo (6-4, 6-3), Amanda Ngo (6-3, 6-0) and Claire Myers (6-1, 6-1) took care of business in singles.

Davie’s doubles wins came from Becker/Foster (8-1) and Annie Kinder/Myers (8-4). Davie has three straight wins in the series – all by 7-2 scores.

“One conference match at a time and hopefully we can keep it rolling,” Bullins said.
