Mrs. Ada Camilla Dyson Anderson 92, of Winston-Salem, died Saturday Sept. 3, 2016 at Homestead Hills.
She was born on March 12, 1924 in Stokes County to Martin Tilton and Cora Lee Jenkins Dyson. She was a member of Christ Moravian Church and the Marx-Carr Sunday School Class, Senior Friends, Bible study, and helping out in the nursery. Mrs. Anderson had caring hands and a loving heart.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Holland “Doc” Russell Anderson Jr.; sisters, Janie Carter, Bertha Bullins, Mamie Tilley, and Callie Joyce; a brother, Sam Dyson; a granddaughter, Delane Allen; and a son-in-law, Richard Allen.
Surviving: her children, Sheila (Donald) Sink of Mocksville, Mary Allen of Spring Lake, and Tommy Anderson and fiancee’ Betty Bennett of King;, sister-in-law, Ola Widener; 4 grandchildren, Holly Sink, Michael Allen, Dana L. Anderson and Dawn C. Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Marcus Jr., the Rev. Dr. Neil Routh and Luke Roland officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-12:45 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
