Lethia Mae McLelland Luke, 58, died on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She born in Rowan County on Feb. 15, 1958, the daughter of Zelma Stanley McLelland of Mocksville and the late Paul Thomas McLelland. She was the widow of the late Bobby Luke. She attended schools in Woodleaf and Mecklenburg County. She had attended the Church of Christ and was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, survivors include: a son, Jimmy Thomas Russell of Mocksville; a daughter, Tonya Luke Taylor of Salisbury; a son-in-law, Richard Taylor of Salisbury; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Leigh-Ann, Tori-Jean, Chad, Maria, Austin, and Daniel; and 7 great-grandchildren, Shy-Ann, Nova, Kay-Leigh, Joseph, Charish, Honor, and Sirrinna.
The family received friends Wednesday, May 4 at Davie Funeral Service Chapel. A celebration of life service was conducted at the funeral chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, officiated by Jimmy Stone and Tommy Graham. Burial followed in Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury. Pallbearers were Tom Bo Stanley, Matthew Russell, Daniel Henderson, Austin Taylor, Richard Taylor and Joseph Reid.
