Mr. Robert Parker Alton Hartsell Jr., 73, of Gladstone Road, Mocksville, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born June 12, 1942, in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Parker Alton Hartsell Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Livengood Hartsell. Mr. Hartsell retired from Davie County Schools. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Salisbury.

Survivors: his wife, Duane T. Hartsell of the home; 3 sons, Robert Thompson Hartsell (Jennifer), Benjamin Parker Hartsell (Joy), all of Salisbury and Boger Alton Hartsell (Chastity) of Cooleemee; and 10 grandchildren, Sabrinah, Emily, Melanie, Collin, Mikayla, Peyton, Bella, Cayla, Beck and Badin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 7 at Victory Baptist Church with the Shelby Harbour officiating.  Burial will follow in Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Friday, May 6 at Eaton Funeral Home.
