Becky Sue Smyers Porter, 62, of Grove Street, Cooleemee, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehab Center.

A native of Ashland, Ohio, she was born Jan. 12, 1954, the daughter of the late Bruce Boyd Smyers and the late Frances Pearl Vann Smyers. She was a medical technician, formerly employed with Davie Place.

Survivors: her husband of 38 years, Robert Lee Porter of the home.

The family will do services at a later date.
