James Samuel Price of Bermuda Run died Jan. 22, 2016.

He was born June 17, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Florence Price. He was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and Case Western Reserve University. He was an infantryman in the US Army in World War II, during which, he assured his family, he walked from Omaha Beach to Linz, Austria. After the war he began a 33-year career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Cleveland where he completed his career as the company’s general accountant. After retiring, he and his wife Lois moved to Brevard, then to Bermuda Run.

He was also pre-deceased by his first wife, Louise (Boehm) Price and his daughter, Caroline Phelan (Stephen).

Survivors: his wife, Lois; his son, Randolph (Rheba Hamilton); his daughter, Patricia; grandchildren, Kathleen Phelan, Jessica Sorem (Matthew), Evan Price (Lucy Chadis) and Jonah Price (Stephanie Barnas).

A memorial service will be held in the living room of Bermuda Village at Bermuda Run on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 12:45 p.m. Burial will be at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.
