Pauline Rebecca James Gregory

Mrs. Pauline Rebecca James Gregory, 93, of US 601 S., Mocksville, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born April 25, 1922, in Davie County to the late Charlie Bennett and Gertrude Lois Butler James. Mrs. Gregory was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church. She retired from Davie County Hospital after 30 years.

Survivors: her husband, John Pink Gregory; 2 children, Barry Gregory (“Mike” Degrandchamp) and Pat Gregory; 5 grandchildren, Paige Gregory, Greg Dull, Michelle Jaudon (Steve), April Bryant (Joe) and Nicole Martin-Baker (Mike); 8 great-grandchildren, Hannah Dull, Justin Dull, Colby Martin, Luke Bryant, Robert Martin, Adam Jaudon, Parker Bryant and Wesley Jaudon; and a sister, Bonnie McDaniel.

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27 at Turrentine Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
