Lola Alexander ‘Billie’ Foster

Mrs. Lola Alexander “Billie” Foster, 90, of Livengood Road, Advance, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Brookstone Terrace in Clemmons.

She was born June 20, 1925, in Wilkes County to the late Jesse Thomas and Maude Harris Alexander. Mrs. Foster was an active member of Fork Baptist Church where her Ladies 3 Sunday School Class was dear. She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and spending time with family.

She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Buddie Foster; a son, Don Foster; 5 sisters; and a brother.

Survivors: a daughter, Bonnie Fishel (Dan) of Advance; a son, Dean Foster of Clemmons; a daughter-in-law, Jane Foster of Mocksville; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Foster (Mandy), Derek Foster (Jen) and Austin Goodin (Robin); 5 great-grandchildren, Camden and Alison Foster and Jay, Luke and Meg Foster; a sister, Dorcas Brogden of Mocksville; a brother, Fred Alexander of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 24 at Fork Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Garrett and Ken Evans officiating.
