Dr. Jerry Allen Hauser, 60, of Advance, died on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He grew up in King. He was a 1974 graduate of South Stokes High School. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1978. He earned his DDS degrees from UNC-CH School of Dentistry in 1982. He settled in Davie County with his family and practiced dentistry for 26 years in Advance. He loved to sing with the Clif Notes and he was active in his community and at Holy Family Catholic Church. His kindness to others was endless and he touched many lives.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Matthew Poindexter; and his paternal grandparents, John Neal Hauser and Dora Hauser Keyes.

Survivors: his wife of 32 years, Tammy H. Hauser; 2 sons, Jacob A. Hauser and wife Lindsey of Clemmons and Bryce M. Hauser of Advance; a daughter, Caitlin A. Hauser of Advance; a grandson, David J. Hauser; his parents, Don and Jean Hauser of King; a sister, Dr. Lisa H. Mayes and husband Dr. Greg Mayes; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass was  to be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 with Father Michael Buttner officiating. Entombment will be later in the church columbarium. The family was to receive friends following the service.
