Mrs. Bernice Geneva Beck Meyer, 89, of Sheffield Road, Mocksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born April 17, 1926, in Davie County to the late Alfred and Carrie Beck.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Turrentine and Calvin Meyer; and a brother, Robert W. Beck.

Survivors: a son, Nelson Turrentine (Jenny); 3 grandchildren, Steven Turrentine, William Turrentine (Retha Cleary) and Leigha Turrentine (Stephen Naylor); a stepgranddaughter, Kristen Neely; a great-granddaughter, Georgia Turrentine; 2 sisters, Betty Avery and Sarah Mae Beck; and a brother, Leonard Beck.

A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Mullins officiating.
