Elizabeth ‘Faye’ Keaton

Elizabeth “Faye” Keaton, 62, of Mocksville, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

She was born in Iredell County on Aug. 2, 1952, the daughter of the late Lester Harding Troutman and Inez Gunter Troutman. She was the wife of Jimmy Gray Keaton  Sr. and they had been married for more than 44 years.

Also surviving: a daughter, Pamela Faye Keaton of Mocksville; 2 sisters, Kay Keaton and husband Tim of Mocksville, and Susie Christie and husband Bob of Salisbury; a special niece, Teresa Nance of Woodleaf; and a sister-in-law, Faye Flynn.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Gray Keaton Jr., on April 23, 2013; and a sister, Peggy Troutman Davis.

Mrs. Keaton had been a cashier in the retail industry, having worked for Dollar Tree stores and Wal-Mart. She attended Wyo Bible Methodist Church.

A celebration of life service was to be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Revs. David Stetler and James Ward. Burial was to follow in the Bear Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family was to receive friends one hour prior to the time of service in the funeral chapel.
