Bobby Gray Brannock

Mr. Bobby Gray Brannock, 84, died surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

He was born April 13, 1931, in Forsyth County to the late Curtis and Margie Crews Brannock. Mr. Brannock was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at Western Electric and was later owner of United Alarm Company. Mr. Brannock was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and former president of Piedmont CARRS Association.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dean and Danny Brannock.

Survivors: his wife, Ruth Jordan Brannock of the home; 2 sons, Alvin Brannock of Pembroke, Va. and Jason Brannock (Cory) of Winston-Salem; 2 daughters, Bonnie Davis (Steve) of Pembroke and Lori Drum (Chip) of Kennesaw, Ga.; 5 grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Drum, Lily and Hadley Brannock and Katie Davis; a great-granddaughter, Lillian Davis; 2 brothers, George “Buck” Brannock of Winston-Salem and Donald Brannock (Brenda) of Mocksville; 2 sisters, Betty Inabinet (James) of King and Mary Hege (Ben) of Summerville, Ga.

A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 28 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sam Lewis and Bobby Summers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family received friends Monday, July 27 at Eaton Funeral Home in Mocksville.
