Carolyn Crotts Darnell, 66, of Lexington, died on Monday, May 18, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Darnell was born in Davidson County on April 16, 1949, to the late Gilmer and Elizabeth Jenkins Crotts.  She was married to the late Jerry Darnell for some 40 years. Mrs. Darnell was a member of Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church and had worked as a cabinet maker in the furniture industry.

Survivors; 4 sons, Michael Darnell (Shawna) of Advance, Scott Darnell, David Darnell (Melissa White) and Tim Darnell (Tina), all of Lexington; a brother, Ronnie Crotts, of Lexington; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great- grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Crotts.

A celebration of life service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 at Davie Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Sechrest officiating. The family received friends prior to the service. Burial followed in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington.
