Nedeljko “Ned” Todorovic, 73, of Mocksville died at his home with family by his side on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

In recent years, he had battled a kidney disease and more recently pancreatic cancer. Mr. Todorovic was born May 18, 1941, in what was then the country of Yugoslavia (now Serbia). He honorably served his native country for 1½ years in the military. In 1965, he moved to the United States and settled in New Jersey. A skilled machinist with an outstanding work ethic, he retired from Stryker Corp. with a employment record of more than 40 years of perfect attendance. He retired and moved to Mocksville in 2011 to enjoy the milder climate. Mr. Todorovic was raised in the Serbian Orthodox Church and was a founder of St. John the Baptist Serbian Orthodox Church of Paterson, N.J. After coming to America, he adopted the Pentecostal faith with his wife.

Survivors: his wife of more than 45 years, Suzana Vasica Todorovic of the home; 3 daughters, Lillian Ryerson of New Jersey, Suzan S. Todorovic of Mocksville, and Diana Peterson and husband Joshua of Clemmons; a brother, Mile Todorovic and wife Kosana of New Jersey; a sister, Radmila Vasiljevic and husband Lazar of Serbia; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Ryerson, Brendan Todorovic, Elliana Peterson and Bauer Peterson; plus a number of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Thursday, May 7 at Davie Funeral Service Chapel beginning at 4 p.m. followed by a private family service in the chapel at 5:30, conducted by his nephew, Dr. Maxim Vasiljevic, Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Western American Diocese. At 7 p.m., a celebration of life service was conducted in the chapel by the Rev. Harold Linder, pastor of Heavenview United Pentecostal Church of Winston-Salem. Committal services were in the Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons on Friday, May 8 at 11 a.m.
