Two young men have been arrested on un-related sex charges by the Davie County Sheriff’s Department.

Mickey Roseman Jr., 20, of Statesville, was charged with rape of a 10-year-old child. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $100,000 bond, pending an April 30 appearance in Davie District Court.

Davie Sheriff’s Chief J.D. Hartman said the incident occurred last summer. Roseman was allowed to stay with the victim’s family and the incident occurred while he was living there.

Quintin Darga, 19, of Gumtree Court, Mocksville, was charged April 22 with eight counts of statutory rape and eight counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $75,000 bond, pending an April 30 appearance in Davie District Court.

Hartman said his office was notified on March 26 that a 13-year-old had left home. She was later located at Darga’s residence, and the investigation revealed more details of the crime.
