Elizabeth Lowery ‘Tib’ Hoots

Mrs. Elizabeth “Tib” Lowery Hoots, 84, of Advance died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Trinity Elms.
Mrs. Hoots was born in Iredell County on Nov. 19, 1930 to Randall and Etta Carter Lowery Sr. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and attended Mitchell College. She worked for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for more than 20 years. Mrs. Hoots was a member of Warners Chapel Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Bobby Marion Hoots Sr.; a special grandson, James “Jamie” Bradley Hoots Jr.; 7 sisters, Martha Dellinger, Catherine Lanier, Wilma Boan, Julia Haithcox, Mary Sherrill, Pauline Ballard, and Louise Isenhour; and a brother, Randall Lowery Jr..
Survivors: sons, Bobby Marion Hoots Jr. and wife Beverly of Yadkinville, James Bradley Hoots Sr. and wife Betty of Advance, and Bryan Randall Hoots of Charlotte; 3 granddaughters, Wendy Horne and husband Jason, Heather Hoots, and Holly Hoots; a grandson, Michael Hoots; 5 great-grandchildren, Hannah Hoots, Mason, Nathan, and Owen Horne, and Ethan Loflin; and a sister, Sarah Pilcher of Statesville.
A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Frank Shepard officiating. Burial followed at Farmington Community Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, April 20 2015 at the funeral home.
