Linda Angell Hamilton

Mrs. Linda Angell Hamilton, 68, of Dogtrot Road, Mocksville, Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Mocksville to the late Cecil Lee Angell and Edna Miller Angell. Mrs. Hamilton had a servant’s heart and enjoyed being with her family more than anything. She attended Davie County High School and in her 40s graduated with honors from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with a degree in nursing. She practiced nursing at Davie County Hospital in the emergency department. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Victory Baptist Church and sang with the Davie County Singing Seniors. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Larry Wayne Hamilton; a sister, Joyce Angell Stevens; and a brother, Larry Lee Angell.

Survivors: 3 brothers and sisters, Gray (Barbara) Angell of Advance, Nat (Vickie) Angell of Lexington, Nan (Jimmy Blume) Angell of Woodleaf; a sister-in-law, Pattie (Larry) Angell of Cooleemee; 3 children, David (Diane) Hamilton of Mocksville, Dot (Ray) Graham of Cleveland and Dean (Myra Tannehill) Hamilton of Woodleaf; 8 grandchildren Christopher, Kenny, Daniel, Kandi, Kelli, Heather, Mikayla, and JP; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 1 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating and the Rev. James Sechrest and Jason Boger speaking. Burial followed in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, Aug. 31 at Eaton Funeral Home.
