 Pearlie Mae Jarvis

Mrs. Pearlie Mae “Sis” McDaniel Jarvis, 95, formerly of Advance, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice Home in Salisbury.

She was born on May 7, 1919, in Davie County to the late Thomas Edward and Maudie Beauchamp McDaniel. Mrs. Jarvis was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Frank Jarvis, whom she married on Dec. 18, 1937; and 2 sisters, Mozelle Parks and Fallie Sidden. 

Survivors: 3 sisters, Lois M. Long of Winston-Salem, Bonnie M. Summers and Iva Nell Wall, both of Mocksville; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 24 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Manser officiating. Entombment followed in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
