Couple Married In North-South Wedding

A North and South wedding was performed by the Rev. Wayne Linville of Winston-Salem at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Russell Angell farm in Mocksville. The bride, Juanita Stewart (from the North) was wed to Wade Huffman (from the South).
Matron of honor was friend of the bride, Andi Boger of Mocksville. Bridesmaid was also a friend of the bride, Morgan Lewis of Winston-Salem.
Best man was cousin of the groom, R.E. Huffman of Virginia, and usher was a cousin of the groom, Garland Huffman of Virginia.
Giving the bride away were her two sons, Kyle Heckman of Mebane and Kody Heckman of St. Thomas, Pa.
Clothing depicted the Civil War era. The bride wore a satin and lace hooped dress with corset lacing in the back, with full spread crinoline and cowgirl boots. She wore a headband adorned with beads and sequins.
The groom wore jeans and a bibbed shirt with pewter buttons around the front, a gray ribbon tie and Stetson cowboy hat.
The wedding was followed by ringing of a dinner bell inside the barn. The reception in the barn had country flair food by Connie Spillman and daughters of Mocksville. The three-tiered cake with a center layer of blue and gray was designed and decorated by Doris Patterson of Winston-Salem …
