Carter-Hefner Couple Wed In Raleigh

Ellen Suzanne Carter and Cory Alan Hefner were wed in a ceremony of Christian marriage on May 19 at 5 p.m. at All Saints Chapel in Raleigh, officiated by the Rev. Donald Edward Darr.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Anderson of Mocksville. She is the granddaughter of Joann Blakeley and the late Robert Blakeley; Mary Anderson and the late C.M. Anderson; and Ada Mae Carter and the late Allie Carter, all of Mocksville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hefner of Cary. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mathews of Savannah, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hefner of Savannah.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a soft white one-shoulder charmeuse gown with beaded detail and a dramatic back. The bride’s gown featured a chapel-length train complemented by a fingertip veil with pearls and Swarovski crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies entwined with a handkerchief carried by brides in the groom’s family.
Hannah Speight of Mocksville and Anna Carl Thorp of Chapel Hill served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids included Amber Horton of Wake Forest, Abigail Hendricks of Knightdale, Heather Whitfield of Raleigh and Caitlin Purcell of Raleigh.
Kristyn Herrmann of Raleigh was the program attendant.
