After a slow autumn, there’s finally something to see at the movies. We’ve seen three during the Christmas season: “Adventures of Tintin,” “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and “War Horse.” All were very good, very different, but “War Horse” was hands-down the best.
Set in World War I, the movie gives a tremendous view of the brutality of that war as the two sides faced each other. Between the two armies is a horse. This movie has it all — desperate action and five-tissue scenes that leave the audience in tears.

If you see only one movie, make it “War Horse.”

He usually bungles his way through three quarters only to direct a winning drive as time expires. He has 1.4 million friends on Facebook. News agencies follow every game to see if there’s another miracle finish. Tebow time …
