Bermuda Run OKs Baptist Plans For Site

When representatives of Wake Forest Baptist Health were reviewing their development agreement with the Town of Bermuda Run, councilman Al Barnett questioned how this facility would mesh with a medical complex already under construction just miles away in Clemmons.
“The project in Clemmons is totally outpatient,” John Lambert, a spokesman for Wake Forest Baptist, said in last Tuesday night’s monthly town meeting. “It is two medical office buildings. That’s it. Whereas this (in Bermuda Run) has much more services, plus 25 beds, plus a medical office. It’s going to be a Wake Forest Baptist project in both locations.”
The new office buildings in Clemmons are projected to open in early 2012 at an estimated cost of $30.7 million.
Barnett said the sign and pictures from the architectural rendering in Clemmons “look like it belongs to this particular rendering here (in Bermuda Run).”
