Dr. Katherine Martina Dols and Matthew Hart Ward of Tucson, Ariz. were united in marriage on June 3 at the Ocean Course Clubhouse in Kiawah Island, S.C. Judge Holly Clemmons officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dols of Urbana, Ill. She is a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a 2010 graduate of the Indiana School of Dentistry. She is a dentist at Mariposa Community Health Center in Nogales, Ariz.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hart Ward of Lewisville, and the grandson of Martha and Jack Jerome of Cooleemee, Jack S. Ward of Mocksville and the late Katherine Ward. He is a graduate of West Forsyth High School, a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in 2008 earned a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Arizona. He is working toward a PhD in sociology.
