Grace Gibbs James

Mrs. Grace Gibbs James, 89, of Mocksville, died Monday, July 21, 2014, after a period of declining health. 

She was born March 30, 1925, to the late Olen Adolphus Gibbs Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Keller Gibbs. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Mocksville and attended as long as her health allowed. 

She wasa also preceded in death by her husband, Bob James; and 3 brothers, Ralph Bennett Gibbs, John Daniel Gibbs and Olen Adolphus Gibbs Jr.

Survivors: a daughter, Martha of Washington, DC; 2 sons, Robert (Carol) of Advance and Richard of Mocksville; grandson, Matthew of Atlanta, Ga.; and in-laws, Roger and Julia Chamberlain.

A graveside service was to be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 23 at Rose Cemetery.
