The Davie County Chamber will present the 2016 Prime of Life Health & Lifestyle Expo on Wednesday, March 23 at WinMock at Kinderton in Bermuda Run.

The Prime of Life Health & Lifestyle Expo runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and is free to adults of all ages.

This annual community event brings vendors of healthy lifestyle products and services together under one roof to offer Davie County residents a convenient one-stop healthy lifestyle information experience.

“While this event may appear to be geared toward a more mature audience, this expo has something for everyone whether you are a stay-at-home mom, retiree, empty nester or simply seeking information for a more healthy you,” said Carolyn McManamy, chamber president.

Sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center and Novant Health Medical Center, the expo offers access to important information as well as direct interaction with medical service providers. Several free health screenings will be offered including: blood pressure, cholesterol, HDL, glucose,  A1C, bone density and more.

This year’s expo will also feature presentations by Steve The Food Guy speaking on how to eat healthy, release fat, balance blood sugar, detox and reduce inflammation; Dr. Patrick Whalen of Wake Forest Baptist Health will discuss Atrial Fibrillation; Dr. William Ward of Novant Health will speak on Makoplasty (partial joint replacement and knee pain).

“With healthcare costs on the rise and interest in personal wellbeing at an all-time high, Prime of Life Health & Lifestyle Expo provides residents with a great opportunity to take positive steps toward improving their health,” she said.

“Plan to stop in at WinMock at Kinderton on Wednesday, March 23rd to start your journey of healthy living.  Do it for your health and do it for the health of your family.”
