Free haircuts for school-age children will be a highlight of a day of activities Saturday in Downtown Mocksville.

Wicked Salon and My Friend’s Place, both on the square, will offer the haircuts as part of the “Operation Cuts for Kids” event.

From 1-4 p.m., members of the Mocksville fire and police departments will be on hand to meet with children.

Endless Possibilities, a store operated by residents of the Milling Manor group home, will be accepting school supplies for teachers. Needed items include hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, pencils, notebooks, copy paper, Kleenex, dry erase markers and other items needed daily.

Debbie Archer will provide a story hour from 2-3 p.m.

There will be give-aways, and snacks and drinks for all.
